After I swore not to buy clothes, I immediately got roped into buying a hideous bridesmaid dress. Now I have another clothes emergency!
My fiance and I got to a lot of events to network. Then we get invited to more, and more, and more. Turns out I have a black tie event at the end of the month!
Fiance has a tux and tux shoes--he wears them about every other month. I knew this day would come. I have. Nothing. To. Wear. I have a cheap prom dress-type formal. I have suits.
This is not the kind of event where I can just go buy polyester at Macy's. I'm going to have to go to Nordies. *scared*

Awww, please! Make it an excuse to get something lovely you'll enjoy for years to come. Nothing beats a great little black dress/gown. Given your line of work, sounds like it won't be the first time you need it.
Just try to choose something that you will use again. Moving up in the world means having at least 1 formal dress and 1 little black coctail dress
