Not Buying Movies Either

The Amazon "deal" this morning is a 90-movie box set for $250 (was $609) with glossy brochures and a fancy box. Many of those movies (*cough Pink Panther*) would make people think you had questionable taste were they not bought in this overwhelming, awful, unmanageable format.

Junk like this makes me even more grateful for Netflix. We don't have useless boxes with way too many movies we will never watch lying around. We average about 15 movies/month, some (*cough Pink Panther*) we give up on after 25-20 minutes, and just send back. At about $20 month, this box set could pay for a year, or 180 movies that we mostly actually want to see.

I am so glad I live in a community with an awesome library that gets new releases on Tuesdays just like rental services!
