Personal Trainer: Finally Did It

It's nine months before my wedding, and I really want to lose 20 pounds that I put on sitting at my desk all the time.

I've tried all kinds of things. I bought a treadmill on Craigslist ($300), I tried running with the dog, I tried playing tennis. But, I am just not going to work out without accountability.

My company pays for us to work out at the gym next door. It's kind of a weird place because everything in logoed to match that building. There is also a subsidy on the trainers. So, I signed up.

$30/hour twice a week.

That'a a lot of cash really, but I have to do it. I guess I can scale down if I actually reach my goals or it seems too expensive. Or if I figure out how to work out without paying someone $30 so I have to show up. I don't even know if you tip personal trainers. I guess I'll have to figure all this out.

This is an excellent choice. You will achieve your goals if the trainer is worth anything. I was changes after 3 visits.

$30 is so cheap I'm paying almost double.

One thing that I've always heard to do (and you can do this in addition to the trainer I guess) is to use a training partner, somebody with whom you can work out a few times a week at around the same day/time. This way, you keep each other on target and accountable to one another.

I worked out with a trainer a few times, but I like to go solo better. I guess it goes with the former athlete thing...so...I have my routine...Okay, now I just sound like one of those old people that walk on the treadmill for 45 minutes and sip water with lemon.

I have a suggestion find a friend of yours thats greatly motivited by themselves and that can motivate you also. Preferably who has worked out for years and any training experience would help. Personally 30/hr sounds dumb to waist on a trainer but it is your choice. I know how hard it is to motivate your own self to work out esspecially if you are exhausted when you get home from work.. all you want to do is sit around but you will feel a lot better if you do work out. Do you like swimming? It takes a lot of endurence and it works everything in the body.
