I thought I had done so well, simplifying us to only two credit cards. One Visa, one Amex. I canceled the Fidelity Visa, it was the last to go.
I didn't realize one of those critical features was so rare. The temporary credit card numbers! We used it all the time, and neither of the cards we have left have it! I even called customer service, and they tried to convince me that I can just rely on the fraud protection.
That was a really important feature, and I don't think I realized how much I needed it until it was gone.
So, what cards have temporary numbers?

If you need it for ordering things online, paypal has a secure card feature that will generate a number for you!
The Citi forward card has it, though my other citi card doesn't. I recommend it - it gives you extra points for $$ spent in restaurants and bookshops. Bad incentives but points accumulate quickly!
I guess I've never had a credit card with this sort of thing... what is a temporary credit card number?
Our Citi Dividends card has this feature.
I have a Citibank American Airlines card and I have the ability to do virtual numbers for online purchases. I don't know if its all Citi cards or just the AA one.
i only have one card, citi, and i think they offer temporary numbers but i hadn't signed up for it. what do you use the temporary numbers for specifically?
Discover used to. Dont know if they still do since I no longer have one.
What did getting rid of your credit cards do to your credit rating?
What is a temporary credit card number? I've never heard of it...

Bank of America Visa. They call it ShopSafe. I think they offer it on all their cards, but I could be mistaken.
Discover still does. I just used one yesterday, in fact!
