We've had Netflix on our Tivo for a while now, and it's solidliy OK. The selection of Netflix on demand isn't exactly stellar, but it's OK. On our Tivo wireless, it's a little glitchy, doesn't look that great, and takes forever to load.
And then we got a red envelope with out PS3's Netflix disc. Apparently, Netflix has a software deal with Xbox, so I have to get around this with a silly CD. Senor Dog even signed up for it right on time. Priorities, you know. Anyway, I'm not Xbox, so I don't really care whose toes it stepped on.
We fired it up, and wow is it gorgeous. It's exactly the same as the Tivo content, in theory. But it is fast, the streaming is so fast, it looks like a million bucks, and the pause/rewind/fast forward are all perfect. It's just perfect.
I mean, I am streaming practically HD over my home wireless. Wow. That's incredible to even think about.
I didn't even know I needed this until I got it. This is definitely the future for "renting" movies. We could even downgrade our Netflix membership (currently 3/time) and rely on the streaming, maybe. It's just fantastic.

We just broke down and got Netflix when we moved to AZ. I love love love it!
You're right: The selection isn't as complete as we'd like. But it's soooo fabulous to be able to watch something at any time. I went through 30 Rock's three seasons in just over a week. Whenever there wasn't much to do, I'd just fire up the Xbox and voila!
I mainly love that there's no limit to what you can watch. It's currently taking us forever to get through the movies they actually send us, because there are so many things available to watch instantly.
We may go down to 1 movie at a time, as a result. Either way, I'd say we're definitely getting our money's worth, since it's a whopping $15 per month for all this Netflix goodness!
I think we'll get a PS3 as our christmas gift, the new netflix interface has convinced me that it's time to buy. Mr M has wanted one for years, but we already have more games than we play. The ability to stream movies to our TV will be awesome.
Hmm, this might decide my Xbox 360 vs. PS3 debate (though I love Halo.)
