On December 1, I posted that I was awfully close to my 2009 goal of 200K net worth, but that we wouldn't be able to make the last 18K in one month.
Well, our net worth is now at $194,700. WOW. That's a little bit of the market gain, but mostly my clever and lovely Senor Dog. I mean, just wow.
If we can get a few more grand, I'm willing to round up and say we made this goal! I'm dying for another check to come in for Senor Dog to make this goal!
When I made that 2009 goal, I was making big bucks, and Senor Dog was plugging along. I had no idea that I would be unemployed for six months, and that Senor Dog would be able to do so well so quickly. Plus a wedding, a new car. I am BLOWN AWAY that we almost went up 100K in net worth this year.
I think part of this is the power of investments. They made a lot of money for us, without us trying. I can't wait for them to be even more powerful! I hope we can net 100K again next year!

Despite an expensive life changing event and several set backs, you and the Senor have done well for yourselves. I'd call this a great 2009.
Good for you both - that is quite an accomplishment! Congrats and best of everything in 2010.
Are any of your investments in the stock market? Reconsider if so.
